A treasury of Renaissance music played at the wedding of Cosimo II Medici and Maria Magdalena of Austria in 1608, in Florence, Italy, played on period instruments by Il Complesso Barocco, one of the world's leading Early Music ensembles. This wedding continued an important Medici tradition of mounting grandiose spectacles and lavish theatrical entertainments with elaborately staged musical interludes such as "La notte d'amore."
