 L'art de passage was a cult band of progressive new music in former East Germany, leading the way to musical and ideological freedom with evocative, thought-provoking and audacious albums. Renowned Canadian violinist and composer Helmut Lipsky discovered the members of this group in 1996 for his outstanding CD Moontide. Since then, they have toured together extensively in Canada and Europe with their very personal interpretation of Piazzolla's Tango Nuevo music.
