 Auburn Bikini started when five people were thrown into a big burlap sack and poked with radioactive rods until their bodies began to fuse together forming a single, tight, sexy, sassy musical unit with the supernatural power to control the bodies of all who are within earshot. Dance bass with solid jazz/punk drums, Auburn Bikini is certain to make you shake what you got and dance! From the same house party scene in Auburn, Alabama that spawned the likes of Man Or Astroman?, The Quadrajets, the Immortal Lee County Killers and The Wednesdays, Auburn Bikini come at you with a fresh sound that echoes The Make-Up and Iggy Pop, rolled into once sonic dance party. RIYL: The Make-Up, Archers of Loaf, Modest Mouse, Pavement, Minutemen, Thinkin Fellers Union and Beat Happening. Summer 2005 U.S. tour with the Immortal Lee County Killers. Have played at W6, Earth Fest, Tiger Stock, Rooster’s and more. Influences include Dead Milkmen, Thinking Fellers Union, Need New Body, Let’s Fight NASA, Pavement and Archers of Loaf. “Auburn Bikini is focusing on performing locally and having fun. But the five band members have one thing in common – a love for Auburn [and] this love shows in the band’s music.
