“Filled with the soul and humanity that is missing in a lot of today’s
music. It proves once again that good jazz can lift you up, without
the music being watered down. It’s very good music, played in an
unaffected manner, by very good musicians and it will make you feel
very good when it’s done. In spite of what some would have you to
think, there’s absolutely no crime in that.” — Jazz Improv
“Whether the genre is blues, rhythm & blues, or hard bop, Bill Easley
remains a versatile and often silent practician of musical mastery …
Easley has certainly perfected his craft.” — All About Jazz
“Although he has spent much of his career in the background,
uplifting other singers and musicians’ sessions in addition to working
in the studios, Bill Easley shows on this set that he is fully capable of
being the leader.” — All Music Guide
