NewSound offers instant credit terms on all orders under $250 when backed by a credit card and credit application. Click here for a PDF of our credit application. You may fax it to us at 503-257-9061, or call us and we will fill it out over the phone. While your instant term's contract is limited to $250, once your application is fully reviewed, your new terms of NET 30 will be established.
Initial orders are shipped COD, with a fee of $9.00, or prepaid (check or credit card) until credit is approved.
Payment terms for accounts with approved credit are 30 days from date of invoice. NewSound will periodically review and adjust credit limits at its own discretion, and in support of such regular credit reviews we reserve the right to request updated financial statements and/or credit references.
Orders on Net 30 terms of $500 or more are free freight. Credit card orders of $200 or more are free freight until June 1st 2008 when they adjust to $250. COD orders of $250 or more are free freight. Otherwise customer pays all shipping charges.
NEW FREIGHT TERMS
EFFECTIVE JUNE 1st 2008
Due to the ever increasing cost of fuel NewSound has been forced to change its policy on free freight. Effective June 1, 2008 the minimum order size to qualify for free shipping by FEDEX ground is $250 on all prepaid or COD orders. NewSound will still honor free ground freight for all orders of $500 or more that are shipped on terms.
NewSound will continue to offer next day, 2 day and 3 day air shipping but there will be an additional charge for shipping by next day, 2 day or 3 day air.
Making this change to our shipping policy allows us to deal with the ever increasing cost of freight, without raising our prices.
Shipping and billing errors must be reported to NewSound within 5 days of delivery or you are deemed to have waived your rights. In this regard, NewSound will accept P.O.D. requests only up to 6 months past the invoice date. Requests for P.O.D.’s over 6 months past the invoice date becomes the customer’s liability.
INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTS – Orders are on a PREPAID basis only (Visa, MasterCard, or wire transfer) in US funds.

A $25.00 charge will be assessed for all returned checks.

All domestic orders are shipped via FedEx within 24 hours and are shipped to arrive within three days. West Coast orders ship via Ground; East Coast orders ship via 3-DAY AIRbut get billed at Ground rates!

Payment Methods/Currency
At this time, NewSound accepts VISA andMastercard. Please see our FAQ page for instructions on placing an order via the mail. All prices on the NewSound website are in United States currency. Foreign exchange rates are left to the discretion of VISA and Mastercard, and are considered outside the control of NewSound Distribution.

Secure Shopping and the Internet
While the media hype surrounding the safety of purchasing goods and services over the Internet has finally subsided, many consumers remain reluctant to make a purchase with their credit card over the Internet. We would like to assure all customers of NewSound that our site employs the latest encryption technology (Secure Socket Layer or SSL). This is the highest level of secure transaction technology commonly in use today.
However, if you are reluctant to complete your transaction over the Internet, you have the option to print and FAX your order to us, Attention: NewSound Web Orders, at 503-257-9061.
Video & DVD Standards
All videos and dvd's offered by NewSound are the NTSC format, which is the standard format for North America.
Returns/Exchanges
A customer’s account with NewSound must be in current credit standing as determined by NewSound’s Credit Department in order to qualify for exchange privileges. Any customer whose account is not in such good standing does not qualify for exchange privileges. All returns must be pre-authorized.
Requests for exchanges must be submitted to your Sales Rep and must include separate total piece counts for CDs and DVDs. All requests will be approved within 5 days of receipt by return fax, email, phone or mail. Once the number is assigned items must be shipped within 15 days of receipt.
Credit for authorized exchanges will be calculated based on the average price paid for each title being returned, with the average price paid calculated over the previous 12-month period.
Exchange credit will be issued upon receipt of your Stock Exchange Shipment. Please do not presuppose credit amounts in paying account balances or use exchange credit until you have received an accurate credit memo from us.
NewSound will not pay freight on exchange or defective items unless we are responsible for an error in shipping. NewSound is not responsible for packages lost in shipment.
All stock exchanges must be sealed and in a clean salable condition and have any stickers removed. Defective product returns must be submitted on separate RA’s. All defective product must be clearly marked as to the nature and location of the defect. We reserve the right to refuse defective returns that are not so labeled.
Cash refunds will not be issued.
There will be a $0.50 charge on any items requiring refurbishing. We do NOT accept opened stock as exchangeable.
